Copperplate paper is also known as coated printing paper, and in Hong Kong and other regions, it is called powder paper. It is a senior printing paper made of raw paper coated with white coating. It is mainly used for printing the covers and illustrations of high-class books and magazines, color pictures, various kinds of fine commodity advertisements, samples, commodity packaging, trademarks, etc.
Copperplate paper is flat paper,size is 787×1092mm, 880×1230mm, the weight is 70~250g/m2. There are single-sided copperplate paper, double-sided copperplate paper, lusterless copperplate paper and cloth copperplate paper. According to the quality is divided into A, B, C three levels. The main raw material of copperplate paper is original copperplate paper and coating. The requirements of the original copperplate paper is uniform thickness, small stretch, high strength, good water resistance. The paper surface is not allowed to have spots, wrinkles, holes and other paper diseases, used to coat the coating is composed of high-quality white pigments, adhesives (such as polyvinyl alcohol, casein, etc.) and auxiliary additives. This fluid and high solids content coating, through the coating machine thin and evenly coated on the original paper, then dried, rolled into a roll on the paper rolling machine, and then sent to the super calender for calendering finishing, and finally slitting, selection, packing.
The copperplate paper itself has developed semigloss paper, high gloss paper,matte paper, , light weight paper, dedicated to the wine label classical white paper, classical cream paper, classical embossing paper, etc.
The copperplate paper label products can be applied to most substrates including cardboard, plastic film and HDPE. They are widely used for semi-glossy color label printing for promotional and industrial applications. Typical applications include cosmetic labels, pharmaceutical labels, fragile security labels and food labels.
